Tunisia Int’l Quran Contest to Wrap up

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The closing ceremony of the International Quran Memorization and Recitation Competition is held on Tuesday, September 4.Hassan Danesh, Iran’s representative at the competition, said the ceremony is to be held at the presidential palace in the capital, Tunis.He said Quran memorizers and reciters from 20 countries attended the competition, adding that the representatives of Egypt, Libya, Algeria, Yemen and Morocco had good performances at the international event.Noting that the contest was held at a high level, Danesh hoped Iran would rank first in the recitation category of the competition as it did last year.Tunisia’s 2nd International Quran Memorization and Recitation Competition began in Tunis on September 1. /129
