(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Seven citizens were reported to have been arrested on Saturday 1st September, 2012 by the regime forces. A number of protesters were reported to have been injured and three houses were raided after subjecting more than 16 areas around Bahrain to collective punishment.
Excessive use of force was remarkably used against pro-democracy protesters in an attempt to ban them from freely expressing their opinion. Huge amount of tear gas was fired in densely populated neighborhoods , a tactic used by the regime's mercenaries to intentionally kill people inside houses targeting children and elderly people. Many death cases had been documented due to such brutal barbaric use of tear gas in previous incidents.
Several protests in different areas took into streets despite the arbitrary ban and the brutal suppression of protests practiced to prevent freedom of expression.
The areas that witnessed the protests were: Tubli, Sitra, Ma'ameer, Shahrakan, JidHafs, DarKulaib, BarBar, Bani Jamrah, Al-Sanabis, Karranah, Al-Nuwaidrat, Al-Dair, Al-Ghuraifa, Magaba, Sar, KarzaKan.
Citizens who participated in the suppressed demonstrations demanded the immediate release of prisoners of conscience and stressed on fulfilling all the demands that have been raised since 14th February, 2011 calling for a democratic transition enabling the people to be the source of all powers; a legitimate right that cannot be denied.
Many demonstrations took to streets as well in solidarity with the Head of Teachers' Society Mr.Mahdi Abu Deeb who had been detained for his political views and was among those national figures that had been targeted by the regime.
In Duraz , many citizens are reported to have been arrested after the regime forces raided many houses in pursue of protesters. Households' belongings have been stolen by the regime forces and many citizens had been brutally assaulted .
