Quranic competition in Egypt

The cultural section of Egypt’s West, Center and Alexandria Governorate held a cultural contest on the holy Quran and Arabic literature.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - According to Youm 7 Egyptian Daily, the contest began today (August 8, 2012, Ramadan 19) in one Egypt’s cultural castles.

An artistic gallery themed at arts and children’s literature is being held which will be open until Ramadan 25.

Moreover, a poetry night themed at Egypt’s revolution will be held on Ramadan 26.

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar; Muslims worldwide observe this month of fasting. This annual observance is regarded as one of the Five Pillars of Islam. The month lasts 29–30 days based on the visual sightings of the crescent moon, according to numerous biographical accounts compiled in hadiths.
