(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Since 2011 residents of the Shiite community in Bahrain complained of a systematic government crackdown against they demanded the regime to end their reign of terror.
It added "Bahrain security forces use extreme violence and employ a variety of weapons to break up rallies and marches," noting that the number of leaders of the political opposition, human rights activists and citizens suffered severe injuries in such “interventions.”
The center stressed that on many instances the authorities committed murders, which is a premeditate crime. In a bid to protect the monarchy, the regime went to extreme measures in its crackdown of the uprising, allowing its forces to use lethal means.
The Center called on the authorities not to fall victim to prejudices and to rightly investigate all infringements to human rights and pursue perpetrators according to the law, highlighting the need to end the cycle of violence against activists and politicians of the opposition.
