Thai edition of Nahjolbalagheh reprinted

The Islamic Culture and Relations Organization has reprinted the Thai rendition of Seyyed Razi’s Nahjolbalagheh in Thailand.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The translation is provided by Dr Sharif Hadi, lecturer of the Institute of Technology Ayothaya. Hadi is a Shiite Thai who presides over Iran’s chair and the head of the literature and Islamology department of the university.

Formerly, the book was published for the first time in 2009 and received a lot of attention among Thai Muslims. It also became a rare book in eastern Asia.

The book is published in two volumes by the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization with support from the institute.

Moreover, the first volume encompasses Imam Ali’s sermons and the second volume covers the Imam’s quotations and letters. The first volume of the reprint of the book will be unveiled in a ceremony slated to be held next week and the second one will be unveiled during Ramadan.

The Nahj al-Balagha (Peak of Eloquenceis the most famous collection of sermons, letters, tafsirs and narrations attributed to Ali, cousin and son-in-law of Prophet Muhammad. It was collected by Sharif Razi, a Shi'i scholar in the tenth century. Known for its eloquent content, it is considered a masterpiece of literature in Shi'a Islam, second only to the Qur'an and Prophetic narrations.
