“Encyclopedia on the Life of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH)” published

An encyclopedia on the auspicious life of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) is published to provide a new and comprehensive source on the most important figure in Islam.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - An encyclopedia on the auspicious life of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) is published to provide a new and comprehensive source on the most important figure in Islam.

The encyclopedia is published by Bagher-ol-Olum Research Center in line with familiarizing the public with historical discussions in a new way.

The book is an effort by the Department for Encyclopedia of Humanities and Islamic Studies headed by Rahman FattahZadeh which aims at collecting the material and writing a comprehensive encyclopedia on biography of the last messenger of God.

Hassan Rezaee, Head of the Research Department in Bagher-ol-Olum Research Center said comprehensibility and consistency are the two important features for the encyclopedia.

The entries, according to this cultural figure, are written in a different way by experts in history of Islam, assessed by professors and edited for final printing.

Writing of the lifestyle of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), biography of Imam Hussein (AS) as well as the Umayyad Caliphs for the section on history of Islam besides Pahlavi figures for the section on history of Persia is done.

He said, “This encyclopedia is trying to provide historical information for the public; therefore, the articles are tried to be summarized and away from any analysis.

Hassan Rezaee also added that in a simple language and within 150 entries in the reference book, the life of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), some of his companions and part of Islamic turning points are highlighted.

Simple access to the topics and entries related to the life of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and also two ways to dependent and independent articles and also providing credited references without any distortion, mythmaking or superstitions, are some other unique features for this book.
