(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The director of the Persian Gulf Department at the Foreign Ministry dismissed claims by the Bahraini foreign minister that Iran interferes in the island nation’s internal affairs and expressed hope that the Manama government would take a “proper approach” toward the developments in the country.
“The only solution out of the current dilemma is responding to the ‘legitimate demands” of the Bahrain people,” the Foreign Ministry official stated.
The Bahraini ruling body has been brutally suppressing the pro-democracy uprising in the country which has been inspired by the Arab Spring.
The pro-democracy protests in the Arab world have so far toppled the ruling systems in Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, and Yemen.
