(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The software of "Imam Hussein (AS) Encyclopedia" was unveiled on Saturday, May 12, in the 25th Tehran International Book Fair's House of Literati.
The session was attended by Hujjat al-Islam Ramin Golmakani and Mohsen Naji Nasr-abadi.
Naji Nasr-abadi presented a brief explanation about the software saying that the work is the result of a group work.
Head of the bibliography section of Astan Quds Razavi's Islamic Researches Foundation said:" So far the encyclopedias of Imam Reza (AS) and Imam Hussein (AS) have been released by the foundation."
The 14-volume encyclopedia of Imam Hussein (AS) covers different aspects and stages of the life of Imam Hussein (AS).
The compilation of the book required more than ten years and drew material from many different sources, including the Holy Quran, Hadith sources as well as recent historical research.
The collection contains 15 main sections and 138 chapters presented in a layout according to the Quran’s verses, with historical accounts.
The fifteen sections include the life of Imam Hussein (AS) from his birth until his martyrdom at Karbala as well as the significance of Ashura.
In other news, Golmakani talked about the software saying that the work holds some 12,000 research contexts which is the result of 7 years of research.
The software holds 3000 entries, he said and added:" The presented articles are according to an encyclopedia's standards and a separate link entitled "Related articles" is included as well."
The works has different section including "Dignitaries", which introduces all the figures who were somehow related to Imam Hussein (AS) and Ashura, "Shrine", which holds comprehensive data about the shrine and "Kalam", which hold the Sunnis views point about Ashura and issues related to Imam (AS) Taqiyya (religious dissimulation).
Moreover another section holds eulogies about Imam Hussein (AS) which includes Persian, Arabic and Turkish poems.
The software holds dictionaries which hold significant expressions included in the research work. Moreover a pedigree of some Imams and prophets are included as another section named "Media" holds related films, audios and pictures.
The software was unveiled yesterday evening at the 25th Tehran International Book Fair.
