Bahraini protesters have once again held demonstrations across the country to call for the downfall of the Al Khalifa regime.On Wednesday, demonstrators took to the streets in several towns and villages across the country, including the western village of Shahrakan and the northeastern islands of Sitra and Nabi Saleh.Protesters chanted slogans against the ruling Al Khalifa family, demanding the release of prisoners detained by regime forces during anti-government demonstrations.The Wednesday protests were held a day after thousands of Bahrainis staged demonstrations across the country on May 1 to demand the reinstatement of the workers fired by the Manama regime.May 1, known as Labor Day, is considered a public holiday in Bahrain. The day is also marked as a national holiday in more than 80 other countries./129
