Bahraini top cleric rebuked Al Kalifa for the intensifying crackdown as Formula one Grand Prix approaches and said holding or cancelation of the event would not lead to withdrawal of the people from their legal demands.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Bahraini top cleric rebuked Al Kalifa for the intensifying crackdown as Formula one Grand Prix approaches and said holding or cancellation of the event would not lead to withdrawal of the people from their legal demands.Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim, Bahraini Shia leader in his Friday prayer sermon referred to the worsening crisis in Bahrain and said security, economic, social, moral, cultural and religious issues are due to one cause and that is political crisis. He counted military crackdown as another heightening crisis which is in full contrast with the demands of the people opposing a fair distribution of wealth and freedom of speech.Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim criticized the military ruling in Bahrain for not taking a sincere step to solve the political crisis and complicating problems in the country.Shia leader of Bahrain also rebuked fact finding mission and said, “System, through wide propaganda announced the formation of a fact finding mission, which did not include the nation at all.”The formed mission, based on the cleric, issued the report on crimes and violation of the rights of the people, Al Kalifa started to bypass the committee and its recommendations to return the rights of the people.According the cleric, this issue led to an intensification of violation of human rights in Bahrain, resumption of intentional killing of the citizens, nightly attacks against the people, mass arrest of the oppositions and shooting poisonous gas canisters into homes. As of the upcoming Formula one competition in Bahrain he said, “The more we are approaching the competition, the more people are arrested and a revenging spirit is heightening among the officials as if a full scale war is underway in the country.”This Shia leader counted the demands of the Bahraini nation and said, “The only demands of Bahraini people are to be free like all the other liberal nations of the world, to have their political rights, to have religious freedom, social welfare and to be treated fairly.”“Withdrawal of the nation, forgetting the crimes and tolerating the oppression are the objectives of lunatics because Bahraini citizens would never treat their freedom and respect for living under such a system.” Bahraini cleric said reiterating, “No terrorist system can prevent the nation from achieving its objectives.”Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim stressed, “Either the Formula one is held or it is halted, whether the system submits to the demands of the people or not, the Arabs follow a just approach towards Bahraini nations or not, Bahraini people will maintain the path to achieve their rights and are not concerned by murders or oppressions.” /129
