(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The Mayor of Patriarch, Bishop Pachomius met with grand Sheikh of Al Azhar calling Muslim-Christian relations a unique one in the whole history of Egypt.In a row of meetings with Egyptian high ranking officials, Bishop Pochomius, mayor of Patriarch visited Dr Kamal Ganzouri, the Prime Minister and Sheikh Ahmad Al Tayyeb to discuss Muslim Christian ties and the constitution for a post revolution Egypt.Saint Pachomius praised Al-Azhar as the spirit of the Egyptian national, and expressed his appreciation to the position of virtue Imam Ahmed al-Tayeb al-Azhar, toward the church during the first days of the death of Pope Shenouda."The Azab that Islam entered Egypt for over 1400 years did not occur in a religious war, and the Muslims protected the Copts are oppressed, and gave them their rights under the state of Islam." said Bishop Pachomius, acting as the Pope, adding that Article II of the Constitution, which states that Islam is the official state religion, “not a problem,” adding, "What matters to them to judge each individual according to his laws."The St. Pachomius, during a press conference after his meeting with a delegation from the Church and Dr Kamal Ganzoury Prime Minister said that the meeting discussed the concept of true democracy not dictatorship of the minority.High ranking Christian figure revealed that he agreed with the sheikh of Al Azhar for organizing a memorial service for the late Pope Shenouda III, later, on the basis of national unity and human values enjoyed by the relationship between Al Azhar and the Church. /129
