Identity in Martyr Sadr’s Ideology Investigated

The 340th issue of Al-Wahdat Monthly in Arabic language has been published by Islamic Thought Foundation, an affiliate to Culture and Islamic Relations Organization.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The issue has investigated the concept of ‘identity’ in Seyyed Mohammad Baqer Sadr’s ideology in an article titled “Contemporary Islamic Thought: Renaissance and Identity”.Written by Heidar Hobullah, Lebanese author and researcher, the article offers the definition of renaissance from the viewpoin of Muslim thinkers and then investigates Martyr Sadr’s point of view concerning renaissance and identity through which he managed to resolve the domestic problems of the Islamic community.“Martyr Sadr maintained that the thinking system based on Aristotelian reasoning and logical philosophy cannot preserve our identity or eliminate the existing challenges,” the author writes.The issue also includes the Supreme Leader’s speech on Islamic Awakening in Arabic given in the Friday Congregational Prayer assembly on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).Other articles of the issue deal with the solidarity between Hemas and Jihad Movements in Palestine, Islamic Revolution in its establishment anniversary, Yemeni Revolution and nightmare of the US and Al-e So’ud Regime, final declaration of “Islamic Awakening and the Youth” Int’l Congress, Bahraini Revolution, as well as Islamic awakening, its roots and continuation.Al-Wahdat is a monthly journal with a political, social and cultural perspective which covers a wide range of national and international subjects.Mahdi Goljan and Monire-Din Behbahani are respectively the directing manager and editor-in-chief of the monthly. /129
