African Shia Cleric: Boko Haram attrocity is a conspiracy against Islamic resurgence in Nigeria

Leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Sayyed Ibraheem Yaquoub Zakzaky says, the current wave of attacks in the name of Boko Harma is a delibrate agenda to suppress Islamic resurgence in Nigeria, with special focus on the Islamic Movement in Nigeria.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Sayyed Ibraheem Yaquoub Zakzaky says, the current wave of attacks in the name of Boko Harma is a delibrate agenda to suppress Islamic resurgence in Nigeria, with special focus on the Islamic Movement in Nigeria.He made the statemen at the opening of Unity Week series of lectures commemorating the Maulud period, at the Baqiyyatullah Husainiyyah, Zaria.Sayyed Zakzaky said, a highly profile security report has clearly indicated the fear and apprehension of the so-called super powers on the current agitation for Islamic revival in Nigeria, that the country will eventually become Islamic, and in particular Shi’a Islam.According to him, there is a growing fear by the western world that Nigeria as a regional power, if allowed to embarce Islam as a doctrine, will have multiplier effect on the whole African continent. “This is why they are now trying to destablize the country in the name of Boko Haram, he added.He also stated that, a Nigerian security official has sent a message informing him that, all the waves of attacks in the name of Boko Haram currently going on, is a smoke screen and diversionary tactics targetting the Islamic Movement in Nigeria.Zakzaky further revealed that, during the post election violence, a special security squad was mobilized and stationed in Federal College of Education Zaria, Gyellesu area where he resides, awaiting orders to emabark on special assignment that was not outlined and fully explained to the squad.He wondered how a faceless group without a known school structure, physical medium of communication like newspapers, website, physical membership and all attributes of a group can out of the blues start planting bombs unhindered with the aim of establishing Islam. “This is ridiculing Islam and Muslims”, said Zakzaky.Sayyed Zakzaky said the Kano bombings has clearly let the cat out of the bag, when eye witness accounts indicted security forces in the covert operation. “More so, the Nigeian president has openly declared that his cabinet and security system is filled to brim with Boko Harma membership. What more do you need to read the writing on the wall?”He expressed concern on how innocent lives are being wasted in cold blood inorder to actualize a sinister motive, and blaming it on Islam and Muslims./129
