(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Despite the attempt to thwart the yearly Prophet's birthday (SAWA) rally organized by the Islamic movement in Nigeria in Kano, an unprecedented participation was recorded in the rally conducted on as from around 10am local time on Saturday 12th Rabiul Auwal 1433 (4th February, 2012), which also marks the beginning of the annual unity week (12th-17th Rabiul Auwal) that was initiated by Imam Khomeini (QS) as a forum for Muslim Unity and has being organized by the Islamic movement in Hussainiyya Baqiyatullah at Zaria.
Participant colorfully dressed, with banners and flags depicting the goal of the rally were raised high with poetic songs by Ittihadul Shuarah in praise of Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) echoed throughout the rally. Lined enthusiast affirming their support for the rally filled the path the rally passed in central Kano city with debate amongst them on various issue like the most interesting and colorful parade, organization, most colorful banners, interesting songs, resolute of movement members in upholding the movement leader call etc.
While speaking at the end of the Rally, Shaikh Muhammad M Turi extended the warmth felicitation of Leader of Islamic movement of Nigeria Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) over Maulidin Nabiy (H) and thanking Allah (SWT) for the privilege accorded us in showing the love and affection we have for our Noble Prophet (SAWA).
He also reiterated the month of Rabiul Auwal is also a period of deep reflections and pondering on the life of Rasoul (SAWA) which should be taken as a model for us. For those that follow the footsteps of the Rasoul (SAWA) will live a prosperous life in this world and the hereafter.
