(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - On the occasion of Arba’een (40th day after Ashura) a mourning ceremony was held on January 14 at Imam Reza (AS) Mosque in Lusaka, Zambia.According to the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), the program was held with the presence of Muslims from Pakistan, Lebanon and Zambia.It began after the evening prayers and followed with a speech by Hojat-ol-Islam Saberi, Iran cultural attaché in Zambia.He talked about the importance of Arba’een in religious sources, what happened from Ashura to Arba’een and some of pilgrimage customs and traditions..The program went on by elegies while the participants observed mourning rituals in Urdu and Arabic languages.Mourning ceremonies were held on Friday evenings by Lebanese Muslims and every Sunday by Urdu-speaking residents in Zambia for the period beginning from Ashura to Arba’een. /129
