(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Now in the third decade of its existence, the Assembly has planned great objectives for the future. By joining the Ahl al-Bayt (‘a) World Assembly, everyone in every situation and with any race and color who has given their heart to the holy Prophet (s) and his honored Household may contribute to achieving these objectives. /106-SBH
Concurrent with the 10th of Day, 1390/2012, on the 21st anniversary of establishment oft he Ahl al-Bayt (‘a) World Assembly and on the eve of the 3rd decade of its activities, the Assembly has issued an important announcement as follows:
In the Name of Allah, the All-Beneficent, the All-Merciful
Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The parable of His Light is a niche wherein is a lamp—the lamp is in a glass, the glass as it were a glittering star—lit from a blessed olive tree, neither eastern nor western, whose oil almost lights up, though fire should not touch it. Light upon light. Allah guides to His Light whomever He wishes. Allah draws parables for humankind, and Allah has knowledge of all things. (Nūr24:35)
The final decades of the twentieth century were years of wandering for humankind. Anera full of turmoil during which people became tired with materialistic theories, injured from wars and continuous conflicts, and afflicted with one ‘-ism’ after the other with no way to escape this false cycle. The Muslim world was oppressed with international colonialism and exploitation and the Shi’a like millions of other Muslims were forced servants of puppet regimes and global tyrants.
Under these dark circumstances, God willed to complete His blessing over His servants yet again and extend His light over the earth. The Islamic Revolution that triumphed by the truthful followers of Ahl al-Bayt (‘a) in Iran was a light which like a thunderbolt brightened the dark night of modern ignorance, interrupted the dream of hegemonic powers, shone once more the light of God over desirous hearts, and revealed the true dawn of Islamic sovereignty. In addition to being a source of hope for all the down-trodden of world from every race and religion, the blessed revolution had remarkable effects on the Muslim community and Shi’a all over the world in particular; an effect the traces of which can be seen in the awakening of Islamic states: the revolutions of Egypt, Tunisia, Yemen, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, etc. The establishment of the great organization and people’s institution of the Ahl al-Bayt (‘a) World Assembly was one of the blessings of the Islamic Revolution.
The organization was founded by the ambition of elite followers of the Ahl al-Bayt (‘a) all over the world and on the order of the Higher Authority of the Shi’a World and Wali Amral-Muslim on the 10th of Day, 1369/December 31, 1990.
Now, on Day 10, 1390/December 31, 2011, the 21st anniversary of the founding of the Ahl al-Bayt (‘a) World Assembly, and at the beginning of its third decades of activities, we draw the attention of all members, and those associated with or interested in the Assembly to the following points:
1. Throughout its two decades of activities, the Ahl al-Bayt (‘a) World Assembly has taken effective steps in organizing Shi’a the world over. Support for these establishment and action of scores of Ahl al-Bayt assemblies, organizations, and Islamic associations as well as forming five great world conferences with the participation of hundreds of members from most countries of the world and holding various international, regional and local seminars are measures that the Assembly has taken in this path.
2. In circumstances where the international ruling order is trying to deny the identity of the new generation of the Muslim community, the Ahl al-Bayt (‘a) World Assembly is attempting to revive the Muslim identity of the new generation, and restore them to their original divine natureusing teachings of the Qur’anand the Household of the Prophet (s).
3. Despite all shortfalls and limitations, the Ahl al-Bayt (‘a) World Assembly has taken great measures to serve the Muslim community and meet their thought, cultural, scholarly, training and propagating needs. The production and publishing of thousands of books, newsletters, software and audio-visual programs in 40 living languages are a small part of these great services.
4. It is incumbent upon the Ahl al-Bayt (‘a) World Assembly to thank all legal and real entities who have supported it by humanitarian and divine activities for 21years. We offer our special thanks to the WaliAmr al-Muslimin of the world, Ayatullah al-Uzma Imam Khamenei, who has guided the Assembly since its establishment and even now his blessed emanations and fatherly sentiments continue to aid members.
5. Now, in the beginning of the third decade of its activities, the Ahl al-Bayt (‘a) World Assembly once more asks all followers of Ahl al-Bayt (‘a) in the world for contribution. In the 3rd decade of its existence, the Assembly has planned great objectives for the future. All those whose hearts beat for the holy Prophet and his honored Household may contribute to the Assembly by joining it to achieve these objectives.
The Ahl al-Bayt (‘a) World Assembly is a blessed tree endeavoring to extend the light of God to the world, without bias towards east or west, under the shining star of Wilayatal-Faqihby promoting the pure teachings of the Thaqalayn and to be a symbol of Light upon Light.
And say, go on working: Allah will see your conduct, and His Apostle and the faithful [as well]… (Tawbah9:105)
