(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The political societies firmly believe that through setting up a number of committees the regime has no intention of finding fair and lasting resolutions for outstanding cases concerning human rights profiles. In reality, the authorities are required under international obligations and conventions to grant victims of torture and official violence all their deserved rights.Redressing of victims requires urgent trial of torturers and users of violence against the demonstrators is essential for the purpose of carrying out principles of transitional justice. Undoubtedly, implementation of BICI recommendations needs political will rather than legal experts. Once again, the political societies stress that political breakthroughs are not possible with continuation of the current government, in turn responsible for all committed violations. The political societies have warned in the past that suppression of protests could eventually lead to a public outcry. Concurrently, suppression of peaceful protests would only force people to raise the ceiling of demands. Whilst offering congratulations to Arab and Muslim nations and people all over the world on arrival of the year 2012, the political societies proudly commend sacrifices offered by Bahraini people for the sake of freedom and democracy. Conversely, the sacrifices represent shame and disgrace for those responsible and involved in killing and torturing practices.Additionally, the political societies warn the regime of doomed failure of attempts of silencing and gagging of activists. Still, people are determined to have presence in all areas including the capital notwithstanding suppressive, abusive and trapping practices of the regime. Finally, we call on human rights and political establishments of the international community and the Arab League to shoulder their responsibilities in providing assistance to Bahraini people for achieving democratic transition besides protecting them from machine of official repression.30 December 2011 Al-Wefaq National Islamic SocietyNational Democratic Action Society (Waad)Nationalist Democratic Assembly SocietyAlekha National SocietyNational Democratic Assemblage (Unitary)/129
