(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Egypt's ousted leader Hosni Mubarak has been brought back into a Cairo's courtroom for the resumption of his trial after a three months' break.
Mubarak is charged with complicity in the deaths of nearly 840 protesters in the crackdown against a popular uprising, which ended with his ouster on Feb. 11. He could face the death penalty if convicted.
Egyptian TV showed footage of the 83-year-old Mubarak, covered by a green blanket and lying on a hospital gurney. He was brought from a helicopter and taken to an ambulance for a short ride to the court house Wednesday .
Mubarak has been under arrest in a hospital since April.
The trial's last hearing was in September when the head of the military council, which took power after Mubarak's ouster, testified in a closed-door session.
