(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Iran released software on the women of Ashura on Sunday, highlighting the significant role of Hazrat Zainab (SA), sister of Imam Hussein (AS) in the event of Ashura.Produced by the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), the "Women of Ashura" software includes articles, poems and speeches by the worlds great scholars on the important role of Hazrat Zainab (SA) and other women in the event of Ashura, the Persian service of Fars News Agency reported on Sunday.Hazrat Zainab (SA), the daughter of Imam Ali (AS) was beside his brother Imam Hussein (AS) during the Ashura event in 680 CE when Imam Hussein (AS) and a number of his followers were martyred.She delivered an outstanding speech at the court of Yazid, the son of Muawiyah, the founder of the Umayyad dynasty of caliphs, after they were taken to Damascus as captives.The 8-language software was unveiled during a ceremony at the venue of the ICRO that was attended by a group of foreign ladies who were attending an educational workshop on Islam and womens studies. "The software contains images, artworks, and religious films and music videos centering on the role of women in the Ashura uprising and has been produced in Persian, English, Arabic, Spanish, Urdu, Turkish, Russian and French," ICRO director Mohammad-Baqer Khorramshad said at the unveiling ceremony. "Hazrat Zainab (SA) had an active role in the management of Ashura events, but her significant role has not been introduced to the world thoroughly," said Seddiqeh Hejazi, an ICRO official in charge of womens affairs./129
