(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Malaysian Minister in the Prime Minister's Department announced that Zakat International Organization will open in the country.
Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom expressed hope that opening the organization will facilitate serving the needy Muslims in countries such as Somali, Palestine and Afghanistan.
Speaking at the first edition of the forum on “Zakat of the world universities” held from November 22 to 24 in Malaysia, he said that 18 countries have voiced their willingness to cooperate with the organization.
64 papers by 16 research institutes from Indonesia, Brunei, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Algeria, Iran, Bangladesh, Belgium and Malaysia were presented at the three-day program.
