(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Hundreds of mourners had earlier on Saturday held a funeral ceremony in the capital of Manama for a 16-year-old protester who died after a police vehicle ran over him during an anti-regime demonstration.
Anti-government protesters have been holding peaceful demonstrations across Bahrain since mid-February, calling for an end to the regime which has ruled the sheikdom for 40 years.
On March 14, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates deployed police and military forces in the kingdom upon the Al Khalifa regime's request to help quell protests.
Scores of people have been killed and hundreds more have been arrested in the brutal crackdown on peaceful protesters.
