(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The African Shia Islamic Movement in Nigeria under the Leadership of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky commemorates the occasion of Eid Al-Ghadir.On Monday 18th Dhul Hijjah 1432 (14/11/2011) at Husaniyyah Baqiyyatullah in Zaria, hundreds of thousands of Muslims from far and near attend the occasion. Activities during the commemoration includes speech on the event of Ghadir, thanksgiving, ziyara of Imam Ali (AS) and other special prayers. This year’s occasion was special with complete translation and explanation of Prophet’s Ghadir sermon by Sayyid Ibraheem Zakzaky into Hausa as Muslims listened which he took long time before he finished to the end.As Sayyid Zakzaky translates the Prophet’s Sermon of Ghadder, he took time to explain some points in the historic sermon.The special qualities and lofty status of Imam Ali were highlighted which include Wali and Mawla (guardian); Imam (leader); Amir (commander); Wasi (executor of the will and deputy of the affairs);Akh (brother); Khalifa (successor) and Hadi (guide). The Leader of the Islamic Movement explained these qualities as read from the book of Ayatullah Amini.Sayyid Zakzaky further explained that in the sermon of Ghadir, the Prophet (PBUH&HF) has emphasized that all his final commandments and prohibitions are effective forever and should never be altered by people’s in any era.He also noted that it is the duty of every believer to learn and comprehend the instructions of the sermon as it was handed down and teach it to his children and to the Muslims in general. He added that this is obligation of Amr bil Ma’aruf(commanding people towards good).At the end of the translation the Leader of the Islamic Movement recited Ziyara of Imam Ali(AS) followed by a closing prayers.
