(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Rashid said in an interview with the “Al Alam” news station on Tuesday: The monarchy has to review its policies because it failed badly in trying to handle the current situation and was unable to stand up to the originality of the revolutionary youngsters in protests, that will allow for a major and unique change transition in the revolution on Thursday.
He added that the Bahraini system is currently suffering from a severe international and regional siege. Disregarding the effectiveness of the protest that will be held on the 27th of this month, a meeting will be held in the U.S. Congress specially intended to discuss human rights violations in Bahrain and the regime’s crimes.
Regarding the statements made by the King of Bahrain, who said that the country's economy is strong despite the public protests, Al Rashed said: The head of the regime in Bahrain is living hard times as it is seeing the system erode as a whole, and as it is witnessing its popularity go down, which is no different than what’s happening in Tunisia. For instance our current situation in Bahrain is similar to that in Tunisia for we both suffer from an oppressive dictatorial system. The system is ignoring the political crises that is deepening the country and the foreign invasion; so how is it possible that the economic stance of Bahrain is still good even though foreign organizations are withdrawing from the country under the pressure of the general public, and the Bahraini and Kuwaiti citizens are withdrawing their funds from the banks that are associated in any way to the system.
And with respect to the newly issued sentences of jail that range from one to three years imprisonment for thirteen Bahraini citizens because of inciting and provoking against the system AL Rashed said: these are mock trials that are purely political and lack any kind of legitimacy, the sentences of jail made will affect all the 600 Bahraini citizens who participated in the protests and are still participating and highly active in them .Such decisions are ridiculous and impractical because even the system admits that people don’t have that much freedom.
He continued: the Bahraini system is still trying to stand up for the people like Ben Ali, Mubarak, Gaddafi and Saleh, but in the end all of these systems will give in to the people’s will.
