“Islam and Ethics” Int’l Forum Held in Egypt

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - An international forum on “Islam and ethics” was held at the Center of Science and Culture of Russia in Cairo, Egypt’s capital city. The program was held on October 23 with the presence of more than 30 eminent scholars and orientalists from Russia, Egypt, Turkey, Ukraine, Georgia, Germany, Austria, Italy, etc.  The forum was organized by Institute of Orientalism of the Russian center in cooperation with historians, cultural figures, experts of religion and economy from the Persian Gulf region, North Africa, South and East Asian countries, Turkey, Afghanistan and Caucasus.  Evgeny Primakov, head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia, stressed the importance of holding such programs for modern society.  He stated that Islamic heritage is an inseparable part of the world culture and civilization and noted such programs are essential in clarification of the role of Islam in development of all human societies./129
