Algiers Grand Mosque Project Awarded To Chinese Firm

ALGIERS, Algeria, (Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The project of the Grand Mosque of Algiers (Djamaa El-Djazair) has been awarded to the Chinese firm China State Construction Engineering Corporation, with a bid of over DZD100 billion (about US$1.363 billion), announced a provisional award notification published Wednesday in El Moudjahid. According to the award notification of the National Agency for Construction and Management of Djamaa El-Djazair, the projects should be delivered within 48 months, reports Algerian news agency (APS). In addition to the Chinese firm, two other groups submitted their bids for Algiers Grand Mosque project in July, namely the Lebanese-Italian consortium (Arabian Construction Company-ASTALDI) and the Spanish-Algerian consortium (ETRHB-Haddad and COSIDER-FCC)./129
