(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - A court has found right-wing Austrian politician Gerhard Kurzmann not guilty of charges of incitement for posting a video game that required players to target and stop mosques, minarets and muezzins as they appear on a screen.
Also acquitted was Alexander Segert, the head of a Swiss advertising company that designed the game.
The game - called "Moschee Baba," Austrian German dialect for "See yah, mosque," was posted online and sparked widespread criticism. It was commissioned as part of campaigning for regional elections last year.
The judge Friday rejected prosecution arguments that the game was set up like a shooting gallery. The prosecution plans to appeal.
Kurzmann's Freedom Party has risen in popularity due to its exploitation of Islamophobia.
