Grand Mufti of Egypt condemns Jewish desecration of Muslim, Christian graves

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Dr. Ali Juma, the Mufti of Egypt, has strongly condemned the Jewish fanatics’ attack on Islamic and Christian graves in Yaffa, calling for bringing those responsible to account.He said in a statement on Sunday that the recent spate of attacks on holy shrines on the part of Israeli settlers and soldiers exposes the falsehood of Israeli government’s claims of respecting Islamic and Christian sanctities.Such an abhorred act is rejected by all heavenly religions and international doctrines and norms, Juma said, and called for bringing those responsible to trial.The Mufti urged all Arabs and Muslims, rulers and ruled, to swiftly act to deter the Israeli attempt to wipe out Islamic and Christian landmarks and to Judaize occupied Jerusalem.He also asked Palestinian factions to unite in face of such grave threats to the holy shrines, and called for adopting necessary measures to prevent recurrence of such unwarranted attacks./129
