(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - A prominent Egyptian personality highlighted the role of the 1979 Islamic Revolution of Iran in the world developments.

Kamal Helbawy who is a senior member of Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood and heads the group's Centre for Study of Terrorism in London made the remarks in an interview on the sidelines of the first international Islamic Awakening conference in Tehran Saturday.

Helbawy said the Islamic revolution of Iran gave a good example to the people in the world to stand against their dictators, adding that the revolution gave the lesson that people must not seek help from non-Muslims. He regretted that some Arab governments try to get assistance fom the US and the west.

He urged all Muslims in the world to follow the Islamic Revolution of Iran and the path of Imam Khomeini.
