Imam Khamenei: The First Political System Based on Islam in the Contemporary World Established in a Shia Country

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Assembly meeting of the Ahlulbayt World Assembly, made a trip to Mashhad to visit the holy shrine of Imam Ali ibne Musa al-Reza, may peace and blessings of Almighty Allah be upon him.After performing noon prayers and ziarat, they went to have a general meeting with the Imam Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran.During this meeting, Ayatollah Khamenei welcomed the guests and delivered a speech on the current issues of Islamic and Shia world.By emphasizing on thanks to the Islamic Revolution Knowledge of Ahlul bayt (a.s) were known to the world, Imam Khamenei said: “One of the prides of the Shia society is that the first political system based on the teachings of Islam was established in a Shia country.”Imam Khamenei points to the necessity of Islamic Unity and said: “Despite the efforts to make religious differentiation, Shia Muslims should endeavor for unity.”Considering the Islamic Awakening, World’s Muslim Leader Imam Khamenei said: “The Islamic Awakening stems in the Islamic Revolution in Iran is the gateway to the major developments”After the speech of Imam Khamenei, the guests performed the prayer (Salat) by the leadership of his holiness. They were the guests of Astan Quds Razavi, Imam Reza (a.s) for the dinner.Before the speech of Imam Khamenei, Sheikh Naeem Qasem (Lebanon), Ammar Hakim (Iraq), Sheikh Kazem (Saudi Arabia), Akbari (Afghanistan), Sultan (Bahrain) and Hajar Hussein (United States) had their remarks and Hujjatul-Islam Ahktari, Secretary General of Ahul Bayt (a.s) World Assembly gave a report on four-years achievement of Assembly and the 5th submit. /106
