(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - "The cultural center of the Zionist regime is affiliated to the regime's embassy in Cairo and a center for recruiting spies and it is named as the espionage den," Heshmat said on Monday.
"The takeover of the regime's embassy in Cairo was a natural reaction of the Egyptians to Israel's hostile measures against the nation," he added.
Heshmat's remarks came after Egyptian youths stormed the Israeli embassy on Friday night and destroyed a part of a barricade wall around the building, forcing the Israeli ambassador to escape Cairo.
Egyptian police used tear gas to disperse the crowd.
One person died due to asphyxiation after inhaling tear gas, and about 450 demonstrators were injured, medical personnel said.
A protester tore down the Israeli flag at the embassy, to the cheers of thousands of demonstrators on the scene.
Intimidated by the Egyptians move, Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak called US Defense Secretary Leon Panetta in the early hours of Saturday morning and urged Washington to help protect the Israeli embassy in Cairo.
