(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan plans on declaring the establishment of a strategic partnership council with Egypt during his scheduled two-day visit to the country on Monday, Turkish news sources said.

Erdogan and Egyptian PM Essam Sharaf could sign a joint policy statement that infers the establishment of the high-level council designed to enhance bilateral relations between the two countries.

Also on Monday, Erdogan is scheduled to meet with Commander-in-Chief of the Egyptian Supreme Council of the Armed Forces Mohamed Hussein Tantawi alongside other political officials and high rollers in Egypt.

Erdogan will cap off the visit by finalizing agreements in a broad range of sectors and encouraging mutual investment before speaking at the Arab League during its meeting of foreign ministers.

On Monday, Erdogan will begin a four-day tour of Egypt, Libya, and Tunisia, where he will discuss ways for Turkey to contribute to the development and reconstruction of those countries during the transition periods following the toppling of former regimes.
