(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Mulago Muslim patients have received gifts to enable them cope during the extra six fasting days after Ramadhan.
The donations included sugar, soap, bread and tea. Kawempe division mayor Hajji Mubarak Munyagwa handed over the items recently.
Dr. Lubega Sulaimam Kaddunabbi, the chairman of Mulago Hospital Mosque, said the move was meant to strengthen Muslim patients in the hospital. Kaddunabbi is also a cardiologist consultant at Mulago Heart Institute.
"It is a culture by the hospital mosque management to donate to the patients after Idd celebrations. We hope to strengthen this programme and also assist other none Muslim patients," he said.
