(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - This is following Wednesday events in which Bahraini youths tried to reach the Pear Square in Manama but security forces blocked their way.
Other parts of the country have also been scenes of anti-government demonstrations. The protestors sought comprehensive reforms and resignation of the prime minster.
In clashes between the police and demonstrators, some of the protestors were injured.
On the island of Satra, police used tear gas and sound bombs to disperse the protesters.
In Ad-Daya, Samahij, Ad-Dayr, Bani Jamara and As-Sanabis regions, there were also heavy clashes with security forces.
Bahrain’s security forces have arrested a large number of protestors as well as doctors and nurses who have provided medical services for injured protestors.
Hoping to prevent future protests, the government has announced it would raise salaries and refer the court cases of the protestors to civil courts.
But Bahrain’s opposition groups have said that such measures would not satisfy angry people and that protests would continue all over the country.
