Bahraini Authorities Impudently Deny Responsibility for Killing "Ali Jawad Ahmad"

Bahraini Interior Ministry claimed police had no role in killing the teenager Ali Jawad Ahmad al-Shiekh. Impudent authorities also declared a reward of $26,500 for information about the teenager’s killers.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Ali Shiekh was martyred on Wednesday following Eid El-Fitr prayers when police fired on him a tear gas canister in village of Sitra.

"Ali died as a result of a serious blow to the back of the neck [blunt trauma] that culminated in a blood clot around his brain, which took his life," the ministry claimed in a statement.

"Although this is the subject of confirmation... the contusion on Ali's neck is not consistent with being hit with a tear gas canister or rubber bullet," it said.

The ministry also denounced statements made by opposition figures and Human rights organizations, which said that accused the security forces of killing Ali.

"The ministry expresses regret over various statements issued by certain political and human rights organizations".

For its part, opposition Group, Al-Wefaq, posted, on its Facebook page, Ali’s picture with his face covered in blood, saying the tear gas canister was fired from close range.
