Fact-finding office closed in Bahrain

A royal fact finding committee formed allegedly to investigate the Bahrain protests claimed it has reached a conclusion that no crimes against humanity were committed by the ruling regime against the protestors.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The committee head Mahmoud Sherif Basyouni said none of the cases of crimes against humanity is applied to the events that took place in Bahrain.

However, hundreds of protestors attacked the committee's office in Manama, which resulted in the closing of the office.

The Bahraini opposition considered the so-called fact-finding committee as a poppet act and a move just to silence the opposition inside and out of the country. They have called for an international fact-finding team.

The Saudi and Bahraini security forces have imposed a heavy crackdown since February 14, on the Bahraini people who have insisted their demolished rights. The regime of Ale-Khalifa have arrested hundreds of people and expelled the protestors from their works.
