(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Tens of young people are in Ethiopia to make people learn about Islam properly.Those young people travel on foot for hundreds of kilometers and give education in mosques they stopped over, A.A correspondent said on Thursday.Christians and Muslims live without any problem in Ethiopia, one of the most crowded countries of Africa with its around 80 million population.Although according to the formal registrations rate of Muslims in Ethiopia is 35 percent, it was stated that this rate increased recently and reached more than 50 percent. Some young people who devoted themselves to a holy mission, display an example of self sacrifice to tell about Islam.
The young people, who call themselves as "itinerants" intensified their efforts particularly in Ramadan. The young people perform prayers with the people in the villages they visited and give religious education to young people.The itinerants also meet non-Muslim people and explain Islam to those people.Although definite number of the itinerants is not known, according to NGO representatives their number is 250 at normal times but they reach 1,000 in Ramadan./129
