(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The aforementioned matter was raised between the US State Department and the Egyptian officials. The US officials complained to the Egyptians that all the criticism is "inaccurate" and "unfair", and added that "attacks lodged against the new US Ambassador to Egypt, Anne Patterson, are unacceptable".
US State Department spokeswomen Victoria Nuland told reports, "With regard to this kind of anti-Americanism that's creeping into the Egyptian public discourse, we are concerned".
"We've expressed these concerns to the Egyptian government. We think this kind of representation of the United States is not only inaccurate; it's unfair", Nuland added.
She also claimed that her country is a strong supporter to the Egyptian transition to a democratic future.
Defending her country's Ambassador to Egypt, Nuland indicated, "Patterson is one of our finest, most respected, most experiences ambassadors around the world. And she is in Egypt to represent the US policy and the American people's aspiration to support a strong, democratic, prosperous Egypt".
Furthermore, reports noted that some accused the US of interfering in Egyptian's internal affairs despite talks between US and Egyptian officials to ease the tension.
In a conference held by the US Institute of Peace in July, Member of the Egyptian Supreme Council for Armed Forces, Mohammad al-Assar, criticized the US for funding "pro-democracy groups away from Egyptian government supervision".
On this level, al-Assar believed that the US, along with other foreign countries, has violated the Egyptian laws, stressing that the Egyptian people oppose to "foreign interference" in their country, and the US interference does not serve the Egyptian revolution's goals.
