(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The recent uprisings which has sparked in North Africa and some Middle East counrties including Bahrain is not drived from Sunni and Shia differences, since during these years the autocratic government got closer to Sunnis and began to torture Shais and the way round.
The Islamic or a secularist government?
The system of governing in Bahrain is based on secularism. Despite claims that the ruling system are Muslim but tangible evident divulge the as far as policy is concerned, Bahrain and the United States are on the same boat.
Islamic denomination in Bahrain
The official denomination in Bahrain is Maleki. Two centuries ago, other Islamic religions, except the religion of Ahlalbayt entered to Bahrain. In the country minor group are Shafei and some other groups are Sufis. The leaders of Sufis get in touch with Shia scholars and even ten years ago they were taken captive by the governmental forces because of holding ceremony to mark the martyrdom of the third Shia leader Imam Hossein (AS).

Bahrain's movement, demanding rights and fairness movement
What Bahraini people want is not about whether the prime minister is Shia or Sunni. Bahraini people just want to select their prime minister themselves.
During these years, Sunnis also were tortured. In the 1950s; some of Sunni people got incarcerated and tormented by the Bahraini forces. At that time the government tried to get closer to Shia people and even at that time some of Bahraini people said that Shias were the governmental forces.
Bahrain is an archipelago. Ordinary people live on one or two islands, and the other islands of the country belong to one person or a family.
In recents Arab Spring, Bahrainis seek. They want their own right. They are after the right of voting and respecting human dignity, so the current protest in Bahrain is not a tribal conflict.
The day that Bahraini forces attacked people in Pearl Square, for instance, a Sunni man stood beside revolutionary people and against governmental forces; for that reason he was arrested and the prominent Shia Scholar, Sheikh Isa Ghasem asked for his freedom.
The plan of Shields Island was proposed for defending people but we see that this plan is exploited for massacring them. No one has seen this plan is used for standing against Israel and defending Gaza and Palestinian people.
The [Persian] Gulf Arab Peninsula Shield should protect innocent people of Bahrain, but what we have seen in recent massacres was something quite different.
