(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Russian terror suspect Viktor Dvorakovsky, who was injured during his arrest in mid-July, has been moved from the hospital to a pre-trial detention facility, a source from the Stavropol Territory law enforcement authorities told Interfax on Wednesday.
"Dvorakovsky's condition is excellent. He is in custody," the source said, without specifying which local detention facility he was in.
The so-called "Russian Wahabi" was moved to the detention facility a few days ago, and is now being questioned.
At about 12:15 a.m. on July 14, a police patrol in the village of Inozemtsevo in Stavropol Territory discovered a suspicious man in the street carrying a package.
When the police tried to stop him for an ID check, the man threw an improvised grenade at them. The police succeeded in finding cover.
When the man took out a second bomb, the police opened fire at him and the bomb went off in his hands. The police called an ambulance and the bomber was hospitalized. According to the Stavropol Territory police press service, the blast tore off his right hand.
In the process of a probe into the incident, law enforcers discovered that the police had wounded Dvorakovsky, who was federally wanted. Earlier, a criminal case on the illegal manufacturing of arms and preparing a terrorist act had been launched against him.
According to law enforcers, 24-year-old Dvorakovsky professes radical Islam. He had been declared wanted after a home-made bomb exploded last March in a house he was renting in Pyatigorsk.
