(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The festival was jointly organized on August 1 by the Iranian Cultural Center and the Muhammadiya Organization, the second largest Islamic organization in Indonesia.
Hosted by Al-Isra mosque in the capital, the vent was attended by a number of Indonesian officials as well Iranian ambassador to Jakarta and a large number of Shia and Sunni Muslims.
It featured an art and cultural exhibition in which photos of Iranian mosques, calligraphy and bas relief works, and tile works by Iranian artists were on display. Also, the Mashhad-ol-Reza Tawasheeh group sang Tawasheeh (religious songs) and Gerami recited verses from the Quran.
It also featured speeches by Shamsuddin, head of the Muhammadiya Organization, Zulkafli Hassan, Indonesia’s Cabinet Minister, and Khoshmanesh, a Quranic researcher from Iran.
