On the occasion of Mid Sha'ban, the birth anniversary of Imam Mahdi (may God hasten his reappearance), a ceremony was held on July 17 at Hazrat Rasul Mosque in Accra, Ghana’s capital.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - On the occasion of Mid Sha'ban, the birth anniversary of Imam Mahdi (may God hasten his reappearance), a ceremony was held on July 17 at Hazrat Rasul Mosque in Accra, Ghana’s capital.

According to the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), the program was held with the presence of Afsari, Iran cultural attaché in Ghana and a number of Shia and Sunni scholars.

Addressing the ceremony, the Iranian official talked about the love for Ahl-ul-Bayt(AS), the necessity of knowing them and awaiting the Savior.

“Helping the Imam of the time in this era means to act upon our duty which is living based on Islamic principles and the teachings of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS). The results of acting upon the noble teachings of Islam should be apparent in the behavior of a real Montazir (one who is awaiting the Savior),” he underlined.

He finally referred to the conditions of the Imam’s (AS) reappearance and stressed the need for dissemination of spiritual values and strengthening everyone’s relation with God.
