ZARIA, Nigeria (Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The Islamic Movement in Nigeria Under the Leadership of Sayyid Ibraheem Zakzaky celebrates Mid Shaban marking the birthday anniversary of Imam Mahdi(AJ) at Baqiyyatullah Husainiyyah in Zaria on Satruday the 15th of Sha’aban 1432 (16/7/2011). The program as attended by hundreds of thousands form far and near. In his speech Zakzaky spoke on significance of the 15th of Sha’aban where he said its merit are known by the previous nations as well as Scholars of Islam, however being the night Imam Mahdi(AJ) was born is an added merit to the night. He also spoke on the miraculous birth of Savoir of Humanity who was born at a time the Abbasid Rulers planted spies in the House of Imam Hassan As-kariy(AS), the Father of Imam Mahdi (AJ), in order to report on birth of any child in order to have him killed. This was aimed to frustrate the birth of the last Imam since they were fully aware that he was coming from the family. He added that the 15th night of Sha’aban is described in the holy Quran as Laylatul Mubaraka (the holy night). It is also described as the Night of Records in which activities for the year about any things are being recorded. Sheikh Zakzaky also explained the occultation of the Imam and outlined the activities for each individual to embark upon to signify the waiting for the re-emergence of Imam Mahdi(AJ). Birthday cakes were cut to mark the special day. At the end Ziyara of the Imam was recited by Sheikh Zakzaky and also a closing Dua’
