(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The Bilal Muslim Mission Organization in Kenya is to implement a charity plan to help the needy during the holy month of Ramadan. The organization has called on the people of the country to contribute to the plan in order to help those in need. It said the help packages will be given to 26 mosques in rural regions to be distributed among over 3100 families. The organization, which is based in the eastern city of Mombasa, also said there will be food packages distributed in Islamic schools as well as penitentiaries. According to a report by the United Nations, millions of people, most of them Muslims, living in countries like Kenya, Djibouti, Ethiopia, and Somalia are suffering from famine and the scope of the disaster has been unprecedented in the past 60 years. The holy month of Ramadan will begin on August 1 this year. The Bilal Muslim Mission Organization has also prepared special radio programs to be broadcast in the holy month./129
