(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The Bahraini regime has released a photographer Shaikh Jameel who was detained for peaceful pro-democracy protests.Since the onset of the Bahraini uprising in February, scores of people have been killed and hundreds arrested during the brutal crackdown on popular protests by the Saudi-backed al-Khalifa regime in Manama.Rights groups have slammed Manama and Riyadh for what they call gross rights violations.U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay, who has repeatedly spoken out about accusations of abuse by Bahraini authorities, welcomed the formation of the commission and called it a “major development in Bahrain” during a news conference in Geneva on Thursday./129
