Message from the President of the Assembles of Ahlul Bayt (a.s) of Ghana to Bahrainis

Where are the advocates of freedom? This is a war against humanity. We call on the supporters of peace and freedom in the world to support the most primary human rights. Support the oppressed against the oppressors. There must be an immediate end to the coldblooded killing. STOP GENOCIDE IN BAHRAIN!!!

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - People in this 21st century always fight for their rights. Whenever the right of any creature is being trampled upon, you find some people coming to demand for the restoration of that right. The right of animals and plants are not an exception in this regard. It is, however, unfortunate that the world has totally neglected the rights of the people of Bahrain; as if they are not part of this world.

In the early months of this year, there arose the cry of people all around the northern part of Africa and the Middle East. The purpose of the cry was to end the undemocratic and pro US regimes in their respective countries and to demand their democratic right. To this effect, concerns have been raised all over the world to express solidarity with the people of these countries.

The more pathetic part of the issue if the concerns of the Western powers and NATO and their interest in the ongoing turbulences in these counties. Wherever the interest of the Western powers lies, they emphasize on defending the rights of the people, but where they see that their interest is rather at shake, they neglect the case of protecting the right of the people and even perceive the people as terrorist. This has been the current situation of the people of Bahrain. The people of Bahrain are been massacred, atrocities are being committed to the extent of genocide, opposition leaders are being trailed and medical personnel attending to protesters are being targeted by security forces, whilst the UN, US and NATO look on unconcerned.

In Libya for instance, it is only the government who is fighting the rebels, whereas foreign forces joined hands with the Bahraini government it killing the protesters. But the world super powers were much concerned with the situation in Libya than in Bahrain. It is worth noting that what is happening in Libya, Yemen and Syria is not more than what is happening in Bahrain. Moreover, the situation in Bahrain had turned out to be worst because the international media have neglected the issue there. The CNN, DW, BBC, Aljazeera, and their likes rarely report anything on Bahrain. And this is not less for the fact that the Western powers control the international media. So whatever they wish is what will be the news.

It is quite unfortunate that some people ignorantly pointed out the fact that the protest in Bahrain is a sectarian issue. But the fact of the matter is that the problem is more than what they thought it was the problem. It is a civilian issue which makes it to be an all inclusive matter. When the arbitrary arrest reprisal take place, no distinction is made. Even if the matter is a sectarian issue, didn’t those people also have their rights?

Where are the advocates of freedom? This is a war against humanity. We call on the supporters of peace and freedom in the world to support the most primary human rights. Support the oppressed against the oppressors. There must be an immediate end to the coldblooded killing. STOP GENOCIDE IN BAHRAIN!!!
