(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Libya’s Muammar Gaddafi made a statement via telephone to rallying supporters Friday, where he demanded them to confront the “rebels” supported by the French, and warned Europe and foreign countries, that have sent their forces to Libya, of a “catastrophe” if they did not stop their war”.
Through loudspeakers in Tripoli’s crowded Green Square, Gaddafi said that “we advise you to retreat before you face a catastrophe... If we decide to, we are able to move to Europe like locusts, like bees.”
"We can decide to treat you in a similar way … if we decide; we can also move it to Europe, to target your homes, offices, families, which would become legitimate military targets, like you have targeted our homes," Libya’s leader went on with his threats.
After denouncing the arrest warrant issued against him by the International Criminal Court, Gaddafi addressed the Western countries further saying that "I advise you to ground your planes... and to hold discussions with the Libyan people."
On its part, the African Union announced Friday that it will not execute any arrest warrant against Libya’s leader, considering that such a warrant complicates efforts to settling the Libyan crisis.
