KUCHING, Malaysia (Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The Quran is believed to be a source of revelation from Allah and serves as a major source of Islamic jurisprudence and the sciences associated with it.
As such, in an effort towards spreading the knowledge of the Quranic message, the Islamic Information Centre (IIC) is holding Science of the Quran classes every Saturday at the Centre at Jalan Ong Tiang Swee here from 9am till 11.30am.
In a press release yesterday, an IIC spokesperson said that the classes are open to Muslims and non-Muslims who wish to have a better understanding of the message in the Quran, which is in accordance to the Centre’s first principle.
“The first principle of the IIC is ‘Al-Iqra’, whereby information and knowledge form the basis of wisdom. The Science of the Quran classes conduct studies concerning revelations sent down to the prophet,” he said.
