(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - No immediate statement was available from the government. But a tweet from its interior ministry said: "Wefaq seminar wasn't banned today; the organizers were asked to present notification according to law for being a public meeting."
Wefaq member Sayed Hady al-Mousawi argued such talks were a normal occurrence before Bahrain's rulers enforced a crackdown on protests in the tiny island kingdom led mostly by the majority Shi'ite population. Bahrain declared emergency law, which it only lifted last week.
