(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The Islamic Movement in Nigeria under the leadership of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky marked birthday Anniversary of Leader of all Women Sayyidah Fatimah Az-Zahra (AS) on Tuesday the 24th of May 2011 at Husainiyyah Baqiyatullah Zaria. The Programme was attended by several thousands of people.
Earlier on Monday the 23rd, The Leader of the Islamic Movement delivered a lecture on the miraculous birth of the Leader of all Women .
Prior to Sheikh Zakzaky’s address on Tuesday, Malama Zeenah Ibrahim delivered a lengthy lecture in the morning, on the Daughter of the Best of Creation, Prophet Muhammad SAWA- a lecture which touches on many aspects of her life.
In his address, Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky delivered extensive speech on the sublime status of Sayyidah Fatmah Az-zahra. He also spoke on bad culture in the society, a culture which deprived women of their deserved position, rights and privileges.
The issue of women maltreatment in the society has become a matter of worry, he said, and this is largely found in many Muslim homes which arises from the fact that many don’t know what a marriage and family life according to Shari’ah is all about.
The Sheikh also spoke on the rampant divorce and domestic violence which become common in the Society. The divorce rate is alarming in the society and mostly not in accordance with Sharia, he explained.
On domestic violence the leader explained that Shariah has assigned responsibilities for both husband and wife adding that acting unjustly towards wives will cause no benefit to one except bad consequences here and hereafter.
The Leader further said that preaching constantly shall continue in order to give solution with hope that, with time, the Ummah will transform and do the right things.
After the Afternoon prayers the leader highlighted on the lofty status of Sayyidah Fatimah(AS) citing sayings of the holy Prophet(SAWA) according Sunni and Shiah narrations.
I.M production also launched a Documentary DVD on the Life and struggle of late Imam Khomeini (AS). The package contains 3rd and 4th version of the documentary which was translated into local Hausa language by I.M. Production for wider understanding.
Speaking during the launching, the leader of the Islamic Movement, encouraged all to have a copy for themselves, friends and associates as the documentary contains the stages of Islamic Revolution which are imminent for a Struggle to pass through before attaining to victory.
Sheikh Zakzaky also presented gift items to students who excelled during quiz competition earlier held to mark Az-Zahra Day.
The Leader also spoke on Zahra Relief Foundation which he said will serve as a charity organization to take care of orphans and other relief services adding that its activities will soon manifest and therefore urged members to continue to give their contributions. Shuhada Foundation is solely for martyrs children and dependants, the Sheikh noted.
At the end of the programme the Leader of the Islamic Movement recited Ziyara of Sayyidah Fatimah(AS) and later gave a closing prayer.
