Iran doctors protest Bahraini repression

The Iranian Physicians' Society has expressed willingness to help those injured in the violent Manama crackdown on peaceful demonstrators in Bahrain.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Dozens of Iranian doctors gathered outside the Bahraini Embassy in the capital, Tehran, on Tuesday to voice their support for the anti-regime protesters in the Persian Gulf country,

The Iranian protesters chanted slogans in condemnation of the ongoing brutalities by Bahraini security forces and their Saudi allies against protesters.

They blamed the United States and Israel for the violence in Bahrain, described Bahrain's Al Khalifa royal family as a “mean slave to Israel.”

The Iranian doctors also condemned the international community and human rights organizations for their dual stance and their silence on the killing of civilians in Bahrain.

They also called for an end to the arrest and harassment of Bahraini doctors and nurses, noting their readiness to help treat the victims of government violence in the island nation.

Meanwhile, Iranian students held a protest rally on Tuesday outside the Saudi embassy in Tehran, just one day after Saudi-backed Bahraini security forces attacked schools across Bahrain, abducting a number of school pupils.

According to an IRNA report, more than 700 girl students from Tehrani schools gathered in front of the Saudi embassy in Tehran on Tuesday, loudly condemning the killing and arrest of Bahraini school pupils by Al-e-Khalife and Al-e-Saud security forces, and declaring their full support for Bahraini students.
